Five things to do today – Andy Warhol ‘popera,’ Steve Forbes talk, sunset cruise

Holy guacamole. These events have nothing to do with guacamole but are just as great.

For an economic chat: Editor-in-chief of the Forbes Media group, Steve Forbes will give a talk about his latest book, Money: How the Destruction of the Dollar Threatens the Global Economy – and What We Can Do About It at 8 a.m. at the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Central Branch on Vine Street. Get there early, a continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

For kid rock: Stars from the Disney Junior show Imagination Movers and bona fide kid alt-rockers the Imagination Movers will perform at 11:30 a.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Monster Rock Theater in Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA.

For a boozy cruise: Yards Brewing staff will be onboard the Spirit of Philadelphia for a sunset cruise of beer, cheesesteaks and barbecue chicken (in addition to new menu items on the Spirit). The cruise boards at 6:30 p.m. on Columbus Boulevard.

For a Duderific event: Trivia, costume contest and a screening of The Big Lebowski are on the docket during the Ambler Theater’s Little Lebowski Nite in Ambler, PA. Trivia and the costume contest start at 7 p.m. with the movie to follow.

For a “lost opera:” This one-hour cabaret performed by the Bearded Ladies Cabaret tells the fictional tale of Andy Warhol luminaries Edie Sedgwick, Candy Darling, Marilyn Monroe, Dr. Peter Never, Campbell’s Soup Cans, and Andy's Wig as they determine if immortality is really worth dying for.
