Five things, and all of them are for you.

For burgeoning chefs: Learn the basics of tomato canning, bruschetta and other perfectly tomato-y cooking tips at this free 11 a.m. cooking class at Weaver’s Orchard in Morgantown, PA.

For an artful lunch: Kids ages four and up can create an Asian-themed art project over lunch at the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, PA at 11:30 a.m.

For those who don’t care about their reputations: Animals who typically get a bad rap for being, slimy, scaly and scary will be discussed at the Ferry Avenue Branch of the Camden County Library System in Camden, NJ at 2 p.m. courtesy of Drexel University’s Natural History Museum.

For #ALifestyle Event: A health coach will be on hand to discuss the importance of clean eating for a clear complexion at Anju Threads, an eyebrow threading establishment, at 12th and Walnut. #ALifestyle Event features light bites, a meet and greet with health coach Jolene Hart and all the information you need on a fresh diet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

For a slasher flick: Dave Portner of Animal Collective’s latest musical venture, Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks comes to Johnny Brenda’s tonight for a 9:15 p.m. show. Doors are at 8 p.m. at the Fishtown venue.
