Here are a few laid back options for your Monday.

For a bear-y good time: The Philadelphia Zoo's bear exhibit highlights a number of species from around the world. The Fairmount Park-located zoo is open from 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. today.

For a fair: Today marks the start of the Chester County 4-H fair. Starting at 9 a.m. you can see sheep, a poultry show and browse the vendors at the Romano 4-H Center in Honey Brook, Pa.

For a mother and child reunion: Not the Paul Simon kind, but an artistic kind. Fabric Workshop and Museum's artist-in-residence Kazumi Tanaka presents the museum's newest exhibit, "Mother and Child Reunion" (which opened on Friday) where she examines memories, Japanese customs and tradition in her work. The Center City museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today.

For a spotlight: Select artists from this year's Fringe Festival will perform at FringeArts on Columbus Boulevard at 7 p.m. Get a taste of what's to come next month and enjoy free beer.

For a youth performance: Bucks County Playhouse Youth Company presents a production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. The Disney classic stars young community actors with a 7:30 p.m. showtime in New Hope, Pa.
