Food and drink

Like previous years, food vendors will be set up on the festival grounds with vegan and vegetarian options added this time around (in addition to favorites like pizza, waffles and barbecue). If you’re feeling especially organic, you can stop by “The Hub” where organizers will supply Fireflyers with anything they’d need from the outside world like fresh produce from local farmers markets.

Once again, the festival has partnered with Dogfish Head for an air conditioned (!) on-site craft beer lounge featuring a Dogfish Head pale ale brewed especially for the event.

Hangouts, shopping and other attractions

For the first time, Firefly will set up ten “shops” in their new market which sells higher-end goods. You can house your goods at the festival’s on-site locker rentals or ship it home via the United States Postal Service truck, also situated on the fairgrounds.

Foster the People may not be playing this year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t score some pumped up kicks. TOMS shoes returns with their professional artists to give shoe buyers a one-of-a-kind buy. Purchase a pair of TOMS (they’ll in return give a pair to a child in need) and work with an artist to design your new footwear.

Catch a few z’s at the hammock hangout or take a break from the tunes at the arcade for free vintage gaming galore.

More notable features include a phone charging station (so bring your charger), lockers, postal service truck, on-site camping and water refill stations.

Other tips: Bring sunscreen, remember to stay hydrated, don’t bring everything you own and hop around from stage to stage!
