Festival fun this weekend in Northern Liberties

Hold off the Monday blues for as long as you can this Sunday, Aug. 3, with live entertainment, shopping and outdoor fun at the 2nd St. Festival in Northern Liberties. The festivities start at noon and will last until 10 p.m. so enjoy a little last hurrah before the workweek begins anew.

Hold off the Monday blues for as long as you can this Sunday, Aug, 3, with live entertainment, shopping and outdoor fun at the 2nd St. Festival in Northern Liberties. The festivities start at noon and will last until 10 p.m. so enjoy a little last hurrah before the workweek begins anew.

North 2nd Street will be closed off between Germantown & Green Streets, and there will be three music and events stages as well as plenty of workshops, art, food, and beer gardens to be enjoyed. Don't miss this rain-or-shine, free festival.

Here is the musical lineup for the day. Make special note of when your favorite bands are playing so that you don’t miss a thing.

Over at North Bowl, they are hosting their 2nd St. Festival Shakedown at their own outdoor stage with Rob Paine + Willyum, Sean Thomas, and much more.

There is plenty of shopping to be had as well with vendors like 222 Creations, Abysinnia Culture Shop, Barn & Stone House, Art Star, Duke & Winston, Gourmet Candle, Mystical Creations and Nomad Pizza, just to name a few.

The festival shuts down at 10 p.m., but if you are still trying to avoid the sound of your alarm clock in the morning, then head to North Bowl where there will be an Unofficial After Hours from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. for party animals like you. Keep the music going with performances by Francisco Collazo, Rudy Kardos and Jacob Herschel.
