Wawa Welcome America

The eight-day festival celebrates our Independence and patriotism with various forms of entertainment featuring free Wawa hoagies, outdoor movie screenings, holiday-themed music from the Philly POPS, a party and concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway with The Roots, and of course, fireworks. Vans Warped Tour

Susquehanna Bank Center (One Market St.) Camden, NJ
For a rockin' time: The travelling music tour makes its annual stop in Camden for a full day of live music of the punk, hip hop, alternative, indie, and metalcore persuasion. Performances include: Black Veil Brides, Attila, Riff Raff, Senses Fail, and Memphis May Fire. The full lineup is here.
Bastille Day

Eastern State Penitentiary (2027 Fairmount Ave.)
If you're not in France for Bastille Day, the Eastern State Penitentiary takes the cake when it comes to this holiday celebration. The prison, teams up with the Bearded Ladies for a theatrical performance reliving the storming of the Bastille, cabaret style. This hour-long show is educational and includes stilt walkers, singing, confetti cannons, a dramatic (and fake) beheading, and a downpour of Tastykakes from the towers of ESP. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.
Hispanic Fiesta
Saturday, July 11 – Sunday, July 12
Great Plaza (101 S. Columbus Blvd.)
As part of the PECO Multicultural Series summer festival, this premier event aims to unite and celebrate the local Spanish community through art, dance, entertainment, and ethnic eats. Live performances will heat things up all weekend with traditional dance practices such as salsa.
2015 Independence National Brewfest Pro-Am

Philadelphia Fire Fighters' & Paramedics Union (415 N 5th St.)
Beer lovers, don't miss out on this one. Over a dozen local breweries, as well as home brewers, will square off to see who is the master of hops during this first ever beer tournament. Participants include: Vault Brewing, Levante Brewing, Bucks County Brewery, Conshohocken, Do Good, Crime & Punishment, Doylestown, Manayunk, St. Benjamin's, 2nd Story, and Free Will.
Dog Days of Summer Festival

Headhouse Shambles (200 Pine St.)
A summer food favorite, the hot dog, gets the spotlight on Saturday, July 19 as the 4th annual Dog Days of Summer returns to South Street's Headhouse Square. From 1 to 4 p.m., twenty local restaurants will fire up the grill and go head-to-head to see who whips up the best frank. The concept is easy - sample, vote, and enjoy delicious beer.
Summer Ale Festival

Philadelphia Zoo (3400 W Girard Ave.)
Wildlife doesn't typically go hand in hand with a cold one, but once a year the zoo hosts a beer festival that allows you to hangout with tigers, monkeys, and more while sipping endless pours of local brews such as Cape May Brewing, Evil Genius, Lancaster Brewing, Victory, and Conshohocken. The event is from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Shuttle service to and from the zoo will take place at 30th Street Station.
Gold Cup (CONCACAF)
Sunday, July 26
Lincoln Financial Field (1 Lincoln Financial Way)
12 international teams from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean will compete for the gold as the CONCACAF cup begins Tuesday, July 7. The series of games will take place throughout the U.S., but the finals will take place in Philadelphia. Let's hope our boys in red, white, and blue can make it to the finals and become victorious. Game starts at 7:30 p.m.
XPoNential Festival

Susquehanna Bank Center (One Market St.) Camden, NJ
Soak up the sun with fine tunes during this three-day music festival. The trio of shows kicks off at Wiggins Park near Susquehanna Bank Center with live performances by Dawes, Milton, Cole Redding. It continues on Saturday and Sunday at the Susquehanna Bank Center with music by My Morning Jacket, St. Vincent, Grace Potter, George Ezra, Courtney Barnett, and The Wailers. The full lineup is here.
5 Dollar Comedy
Monday, July 20 – Sunday, July 26

The weeklong affordable comedy show returns to Philadelphia, showcasing local actors and comics through numerous performances featuring, game shows, sketches, workshops, and more. On Monday through Thursday, a secret show will take place immediately after the 10 p.m. skit. Check here for the full schedule.
