The Center City District organized the free festival — which runs outdoors July 20 through 23 — and allowed folks to vote for the movies they'd like to see. Among the choices given, some 487 voters selected Selma, The Manchurian Candidate (1962), The American President, and All the President's Men.
The schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, July 20 — Selma
Thursday, July 21 — The Manchurian Candidate
Friday, July 22 — The American President
Saturday, July 23 — All the President's Men
Voters were also given the option to vote for films like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Candidate, A Face in the Crowd, and Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde. Those films, however, did not make the cut.
In addition to the film screenings, refreshments from the Dilworth Park Café and Air Grille — operated by Brûlée Catering — will be available, along with treats from Capogiro and Philly Pop Kettle Corn.
