On Saturday, January 19th, the Loews Hotel will let the dogs out! That’s because one of the swankiest black tie events this side of the Schuylkill is about to rock Center city. The venue will house the annual Hair O’ the Dog Gala, now in it’s 19th decadent year.

The event, originally launched in 1995 by friends Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro, has multiplied in popularity every year and now attracts thousands of attendees from around the Philadelphia region.

As expected, there’s plenty to swoon over at this event, starting with the featured charity. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Friends are by Your Side. The charity aids women and children affected with cancer and experiencing hair loss; it is fueled by salon owners, stylists, and industry masters.

Of course, this wouldn’t be the go to black tie event without superb entertainment, and it will be featured in spades.  Local band Split Decision will perform and the renowned DJ Enferno will bring his Live Remix Project, a one-man show using synths, drum controllers and turntables to create a truly sensory unique music experience.

There’s plenty more too, including bottle service, dancers (courtesy of Jewelz Entertainment) and an appearance from Marisa Magnatta, from WMMR. Don’t miss out on this fantastic event. Click here for tickets.
