Whether not you have a ticket, get into the football spirit on Saturday, Oct. 31, with these pre-festivities.
You don't want to miss this one. Kicking things off bright and early at 9 a.m., ESPN's "College GameDay" makes its way to Independence Mall (150 S. Independence Mall W) for its preview show of college football games. Don your festive cherry and white, create that sign you always wanted to be shown on TV, and get ready to scream.
They're back! The same folks behind the Young Temple Alumni tailgate in Lot K for the Penn State game return to the same location for a football and Halloween party. Beginning at 1 p.m., join a ton of current and past students for food, drinks, and a great party atmosphere. If you wear a costume, though, make sure it's not a leprechaun.
Gather together fellow owls during Temple Alumni's official game day tailgate party at 5 p.m. With admission, you'll get unlimited food and soft beverages, as well as two drink tickets that are good for beer/wine. Purchase tickets here.The alumni tents will be posted up at Lot K.
If you don't have a ticket but intend on watching the game around Lincoln Financial Field, the Philly Tailgate crew invites you to enjoy before, and after, the game at McFadden's (1 Citizens Bank Way.). Things get started four hours prior to the game and feature a buffet, drinks, games, and re-entry into McFadden's if you decide to leave. Click here for more info.
Dance, celebrate, and cheer in Lot K with a Halloween Tailgate with DJ Watts and DJ Sherm (B2B). This open event starts at 4 p.m. and includes live music, table games, and more.
If you're on the opposing side, Xfinity Live! (1100 Pattison Ave.) is your must-go destination for tailgating. Hosted by the Notre Dame Club of Philadelphia, the festivities start at 4:30 p.m. on the location's turf field area and include live music by the Fair Trade Band, all-you-can eat food and drink, and all around good times with fellow Fighting Irish alumni. Entry to this event is $50.
