Art in the Age is presenting a totally awesome workshop by BLUEREDYELLOW. BLUEREDYELLOW is headed by Elissa Meyers and Mira Adornetto, who are designers focused on creating locally grown color on chemical-free textiles in Philadelphia. Even more exciting about the BLUEREDYELLOW is that they are working towards the complete production of garments locally, including the construction and dyeing processes.

What the workshop will include is an explanation of dyeing history as well as how the duo created the dyeing techniques that they use today. The most exciting part of the event will be the oppourtunity for workshop participants to shibori dye a handerkerchief with the ladies of BLUEREDYELLOW. For Philadelphia textile designers, clothing designers, or anyone with an interest in these topics – this is event is an absolute must!
