Art Star Craft Bazaar returns to Penn’s Landing this weekend

Once again, Mother’s Day weekend is full of one-of-a-kind finds, thanks to the Art Star Craft Bazaar. The 12th annual spring incarnation brings over 150 specially selected artisans and makers to the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing (101 S. Columbus Blvd.), courtesy of the crafty minds of NoLibs shop Art Star.

Held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10, rain or shine, the bazaar offers the best in unique jewelry, prints, paper goods, accessories, food, music and activities. Here's a taste of what to expect.

Buy stuff
Margueritaworks: Custom clay dining ware in distinct designs and glazes.   
B.H. Mills: Unique lamps and lighting fixtures that utilize kitchen and houseware items like sewing machines and kettles as the base of the lamp.
West Oak Design: Handcrafted, minimalist clothing, jewelry and clutches. Also, unique burlap hanging planters.
Inedible Jewelry: Jewelry that looks so good you'll want to eat it. For those with a sweet tooth — cotton candy earrings, blueberry pancakes necklace, s'mores earrings — or a hankering for something green — avocado necklace — and everything in between — Oktoberfest earrings, Saltine earrings.
Blackbird Pye: Quirky designs etched into glassware.
Urban Works Textiles: City skylines and other urban landmarks printed on throw pillows and duvets.
Gilbert & Leona: Leather cutout necklaces and rustic, slouchy pouches.
Brace and Bit: BYOB in style with wax canvas beer totes, or go for a statement living room piece with handmade coffee tables.
MyAudio Tree: Handmade wood phone cases, iPhone listening docks, and acoustic amplifiers.
Kelly & Co.: Reusable lunch bags, linen napkins and dishtowels and sturdy rolling pins.

Listen up
Live musical acts, curated by DJ Ed Christof, to be the soundtrack to your shopping. Lineup includes Action Bell (noon Saturday), You Do You (1:30 p.m. Saturday), Fox Bay (3 p.m. Saturday), Northern Arms (4:30 p.m. Saturday), Sean Hearn (in between sets Saturday), Frontyards (noon Sunday), Cheap Dates (1:30 p.m. Sunday), Spinning Leaves (3 p.m. Sunday), OOLALA (4:30 p.m. Sunday) and Shawn Ryan (in between sets Sunday).

Craft on
Learn a skill or two and take your new creation home. Try an upcycling activity by using plastic bags and old cassette tapes or design and print your own T-shirt design, among the other activities set for the weekend. On Sunday only, get your photo snapped at the Cut + Paste Photobooth.

Eat up
Soy Café, Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen, and Pie Stand will be among the weekend's food vendors.
