A look at the 2015 Preakness at the Piazza

May 2 isn’t the only day of this year to rock fancy hats and pastel bowties. After making quite the success in the last two years, Preakness at the Piazza returns on Saturday, May 16 for the third annual fundraiser benefitting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

May 2 isn't the only day of this year to rock fancy hats and pastel bowties. After raising $117,000 last May, Preakness at the Piazza (1040 N. American St.) returns on Saturday, May 16, for the third annual fundraiser benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

From 5-9:30 p.m., here's what's going on.

Style for miles
Guests are encouraged to swag out in Kentucky Derby attire (big hats, seersucker) and participate in a fashion contest judged by Eva Pilgrim of 6ABC, Bryan Buttler of Philadelphia Magazine, Francesca Ruscio of PHL17, Mayor Michael Nutter's wife, Lisa Nutter, and founder of Men's Style Pro Sabir Peele. Five judged rounds will be scheduled throughout the day and include categories like Best Dressed (men and women), Best Hat, Best Couple, and Best Shoes.

Food and Drink

No party is complete without food. Admission to the party gets you eats by Andreotti's and drinks will be provided by Evil Genius Brewing Co., Hewn Spirits, and Tito's Handmade Vodka.

Giddyup
Cheer on your favorite horse as the 140th annual Preakness Stakes will play on the Piazza's 400-foot LED screen. Air time is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

General admission is $75 and VIP admission is $150 and gets you a private lounge access with drinks provided by 13th Street Cocktail Lounge. Purchase tickets here.
