As predicted, The Roots Picnic was a phenomenal two-day dream. If you are as sad as we are about it being over, don't worry, you're about to relive it. Our photographer Yusuf Muhammad was on the scene to catch some amazing behind the scenes photos. Check them out below.

If you’re a fan of Deer Tick, you may want to listen to WKDU on January 21st at 3:15pm. Reason being: John McCauley and Ian O’Neil plan to stop by for an unforgettable performance. So, if you’ve got plans, drop them and tune into The Music of Sound on 91.7FM (or wkdu.org) that Friday because this is a treat you don’t want to miss.

Tune in to Cannon to a Whisper this week (Wednesday 8-10 p.m.) to hear a Guest DJ set and interview with Will Noon, the drummer of Straylight Run and Breaking Pangaea! Noon has toured with bands like Fun, and is a manager extraordinaire. Breaking Pangaea's full length, Cannon to a Whisper is this particular program's namesake, and we're psyched to have him coming in.

WKDU presents Lemuria playing at the Barbary for an all ages show on Sunday, January 16th. This even starts at 6:00 pm. Lemuria is known for their frequent touring, their energetic shows, their post-punk soundings and their all around awesomeness. Recently signed to Bridge 9, Lemuria's 2nd LP is due out mere days before this show (1/11/11) and is entitled Pebble. So come check out Lemuria with Mikey Ergg (from the Erggs) for a show that will not disappoint.
