It’s been a long time since the last Making Time, huh? One month ago we raged our little hearts out at The Making Time Summertime HYPER-RAGER with Sleigh Bells, Phantogram and Twin Shadow. Since then, we’ve been waiting patiently for the next Making Time. I mean, it has been over THREE months since we’ve all experienced a Making Time at its classic location, Voyeur (we kind of miss it). That’s why we’re pretty stoked that the next Making Time is officially upon us!

Arcadia Boutique is celebrating their 5th birthday and has a party planned for their Northern Liberties location to match this milestone this upcoming First Friday on September 7th from 6 - 9pm. To show their appreciation for the support they have received over the past years, the party will include the opening of their autumn art show featuring new works by Natalie Flor Negron, a custom jewelry "Charm Bar" sponsored by Charms City Jewelry, music by DJ Yolo One, and plenty of cocktails, food, and fun! Plus, all clothes and shoes, including brand new fall styles, will be 15% off.

Since you still have some shopping to do for back to school, make sure to stop by for their last summer sale. Their Sale on Sale will run through August 31 and customers can take an extra 20% off all sale merchandise both in stores and online with the code EXTRA20. This weekend also marks the last of their featured designer discount series. All BB Dakota merchandise is 20% off this weekend (FROSTYBEV is the code).

For more details about both sales, check out their Blogspot. Plus, follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook!

Get ready for sounds of house, techno and deep groove as the storm that is Tornado Wallace hits Morgan’s Pier on Saturday, August 25. Gracing us all the way from Melbourne, Australia, Tornado Wallace is a DJ and producer responsible for two amazing releases in 2010. First was the Tornado Never Dies EP on Sleazy Beats, followed by the Paddlin’ EP on Jimpster’s Delusions of Grandeur which happened to top Juno’s charts for a number of weeks and was listed in their top 50 tracks for 2010. Wallace has been collecting records all throughout his teen years, which led him to be catapulted into the DJing world at the young age of 18. His career has been booming ever since, making this show quite the opportunity. You can check out his sounds here. (and don’t miss the opening sets by Magic Message DJs Jeffrey Bouchard and Shearn!)
