On Monday, Pitchfork posted their guide to the best festivals in North America and Europe, Pitchfork's 20 Essential Festivals of Summer 2012. Guess who is on it twice. Yup, that’s right, our lovely city made it on the list for two of the festivals we gladly host! The Roots Picnic, happening this Saturday, June 2nd and Sunday, June 3rd, was first on the list followed by the Budweiser Made In America Festival which will hit Philly on September 1st and 2nd. We’re feeling pretty lucky to have so much great live music action in Philly this summer. Will you be attending either of these fests?
This month, Making Time is doing it big for the Making Time Summertime Hyper Rager. Not only will the party move to an outside location at Festival Pier but it will also feature some awesome acts- Sleigh Bells, Twin Shadow and Phantogram will all be performing and more acts are to be announced. Pretty rad, right? Dave P, Sammy Slice, Dave Pak, Mike Z, Rocktits!, Broadzilla DJs and Pink Skull will still be taking care of the ones and twos and tickets are only $25! You can get them at Last Drop (11th & Pine) sans service charge all month, or online here sans service charge until June 15th (just use the promo code MAKINGTIME). And did we mention we’re starting early? This time the party is all ages and starting at 5 pm. We'll see you there.

She will be performing with Detroit's Lac La Belle and California's Cave Country.
