Bag of Balloons: Success!

Bag of Balloons: Success!

Phrequency and McJawn Magazine hosted an EPIC block party yesterday in South Philly.  Sunday, July 26th, 2009 will forever be remembered as the day these two websites collided and created a beautiful thing.  The party went off without a hitch, even the pending thunderstorms held out, and everyone got to enjoy the sounds of some of Philly's best acts.

Highlights include The Armchairs and their special guest vocalist who simply could not get enough of the frozen popsicles, tU pHAce hyping up the crowd from the balcony, Akilles and Castro going wild, Jukebox The Ghost covering New Order, and Second Wind's crazy electro thrash set.

Besides eating tasty treats, friends were made, music was played, the sidewalk was covered in chalk, and the day was filled with positive vibes from all. From 12 to 8 p.m., the cross streets of Dickinson and Mole were home to our love fest and we just want to say thank you to everyone for coming out.  Keep on supporting local music and the sites that strive to unite the Philly music and art community. Enjoy the pictures!
