I wouldn't go to any McFaddens in this city even if they were paying me to appear. DoctorLoads
The economy must really be hurting these businesses if they are this desperate. Next year is 2013 which ends in a 13 so maybe they can find a way to capitalize on a year of people's superstition. Phillies2008WSChamps
I have a horror movie marathon night going on that night. Maybe I'll get blown up while watching zombies stagger about. If it actually happens (snarfle), what the heck does it matter what you're doing? I'd rather be sitting on a couch with friends than paying money to go somewhere stupid? verve
Phillies2008WSChamps - its not a matter of businesses hurting. The Young Hipster College professionals have taken over the city, and beer and booze are big business right now. These themed events, from santa runs, to bar crawls, foam parties... pack in the people.

Grumpy people. Let the kids have fun no matter what the theme is. PDJ
Scientists have discovered that the funny little symbol at the end of the Mayan calendar means repeat from the beginning. towman
Wow ya sad sacks...I think this is a great idea. If I didn't have kids and was about hmmm..I don't even know if I am to old (32???) - Never did go to the bar much. Maybe once in Boston?
Anyway, sounds like a lot of fun, and just a good reason to have fun no matter what the reality.
I wish someone could keep track of how many times "end of the world" phrases or lines will be used. haha
-towman, Maybe Leonard and Sheldon can be your dates? MFPhils
