Jazz Age on the Delaware
Saturday, Aug. 1
Glen Foerd Mansion (5001 Grant Ave.)
For a roaring time: Don your best vintage attire at this 1920s-themed party that features live music, dancing, lawn games, and more. Additionally, libations will be available from Art in the Age Spirits and Hendricks Gin. Bring a blanket and picnic basket, too! Things kick off at 11 a.m.
The Grand Arrival at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire
First weekend starts Saturday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug.2

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire returns for its 35th season and is in no shortage of entertainment. Travel back in time with knights, jesters, kings and queens with a kickoff party featuring live music, dancing, archery, and of course wine! The grounds are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days.
2nd Street Summer Festival
Sunday, Aug. 2
(North 2nd Street between Germantown and Green Streets)
NoLibs' annual summer street festival returns from noon to 8 p.m. and features local foods, art, vendors, and entertainment. One suggestion: Get there early.
Center City Restaurant Week
Sunday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Aug. 7 & Sunday, Aug. 9 through Friday, Aug.14
Various Locations
Local restaurants scattered throughout center city will offer three-course lunch and dinner deals priced from $20 to $35. Some participating restaurants include: R2L, Smokin Betty's, Tequila's Restaurant, Porcini, and the Dandelion. The full list is here.
PECO Festival (Caribbean & India & Africa)

The diverse and free festivals continue in August with three cultural galas. Throughout the month, Celebrate African culture through art and dance; taste the flavors of traditional Indian foods; and take an imaginary trip to paradise with a tropical Caribbean party. Times are Sunday, Aug. 2 from 2 to 8 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 15 from 1 to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 16 from noon to 8 p.m.
Pennsylvania Dutch Festival
Thursday, Aug. 6 through Saturday, Aug. 8
Reading Terminal Market (51 N. 12th St.)
The city's favorite market pays homage to the Pennsylvania Dutch with a three-day festival featuring traditional farm-fresh foods, local crafts, and a kid zone featuring a petting zoo and farm-themed rides. The events runs each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Mad Decent Block Party
Thursday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 7
Festival Pier (601 N. Columbus Blvd.)
Diplo's block party, which originated in Philadelphia, returns for two days of live electronic music from Jack U, Flosstradamus, Yellow Claw, Major Lazer, Zeds Dead and more. The full lineup is here.

GayFest 2015

Philadelphia's LGBT Theater Festival's fifth annual onstage performance festival returns for 16 days of entertainment. Featured acts include: "Mother Tongue," "From White Plains," "The Secretaries," and "At the Flash." Live music performances as well as staged reading will take place, too. The lineup is listed here.
The Final Day at the Oval

Celebrate the final day of the Oval's Pop-Up park with the family! Events during the finale include: arts and crafts, face painters, a Free Library of Philadelphia mobile library, live music, and more. Things start at noon.
