Last night during The Philadelphia Collection, we got to take a first hand look at what Mitchell and Ness has in store for the upcoming Fall/Holiday 2011 season of licensed MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA apparel. As Philadelphia streetwear legends, the company has a strong name to uphold, and this season's looks are sure to do just that.
Sondra Murphy, Manager of Design and Product Development at Mitchell and Ness, explained to us the inspiration of this season’s looks.
Specific to this season, the 1990’s era plays a huge role in the designs. Amongst our favorite of the 90’s nostalgic designs are the flashback jacket and Mitchell & Ness snapback. (Shown below)
Aside from the 90’s era playing a role in the designs, the season’s collection stays true to it’s Mitchell & Ness roots, and what it means to truly “Define Authentic”, pulling inspiration from classic and vintage looks that date back to as far as 1930.
