Union, Phillies create combo scarf

For the August 31 Union vs. Montréal Impact game, you can buy a special four-pack of tickets for $150 that will also include a four-pack of scarves that have both teams' logos on them. There's a mock-up of the scarves at right.

If you don't buy the ticket pack, I've been told that a limited supply of the scarves will be available for sale at the PPL Park team store on the day of the game.

The Phillie Phanatic will be on hand for various pregame festivities. I wonder if the Sons of Ben will let him up into The River End to bang the drum for a while. We know he's an expert at distracting opponents.

A few days later, John Hackworth will lead a delegation from the Union to Citizens Bank Park for the Phillies' game against the Washington Nationals. Hackworth will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and Sébastien Le Toux will sign autographs by the first base gate before the game.

I suspect Hackworth knows baseball well enough. But just in case, here's some advice on throwing a ceremonial first pitch from Cristiano Ronaldo:
