If you aren't a close follower of women's soccer, you might not have heard of Amandine Henry. Let tonight be your introduction.

If you aren't a close follower of women's soccer, you might not have heard of Amandine Henry. Let tonight be your introduction.

The French midfielder is perhaps the most important foreign signing in National Women's Soccer League history. She's a sublimely creative star who leads one of Europe's powerhouse national teams.

Tonight, Henry makes her first start for the Thorns since making the blockbuster move to Portland from French juggernaut Lyon. And she's set to line up alongside a slew of big names, including Tobin Heath, Lindsey Horan, Meghan Klingenberg and Christine Sinclair.

Chicago, meanwhile, has two of its own U.S. women's national team stars: striker Christen Press and defender Julie Johnston. Press' partner on the front line, Mexico's Sofia Huerta, is an underrated stalwart.

Kickoff at Providence Park is set for just after 10 p.m. Eastern time.
