MLS and CCL Wrap: San Jose smashes Kansas City

The phrase "Peak MLS" gets used a lot these days, to the point where it's sometimes hard to avoid wondering just what the peak really is anymore. But Wednesday night's action planted a flag pretty high up the mountain.

San Jose walked into Sporting Park last night, squared up to a Kansas City team that hadn't lost at home all year - and just once in its last 10 games overall. and promptly scored five goals.

Yes, five.

At around the same hour, Kwadwo Poku was scoring twice for New York City FC and D.C. United was narrowly edging Arabe Unido in Panama in the CONCACAF Champions League.

The night was capped off with Seattle scoring in the 90th and 97th minutes to beat Olimpia of Honduras in the CCL nightcap.

Don't believe it? Here's the proof.
