TORONTO - This afternoon, the U.S. Soccer Federation celebrates its 100th year with a pair of big-time friendlies.

First up, the men's national team faces Germany in Washington, where a capacity crowd of nearly 46,000 will pack one of American soccer's signature stadiums.

Then the action moves from the banks of the Anacostia River to the banks of Lake Ontario, where the U.S. women will face Canada for the first time since last summer's thriller at the Olympics. BMO Field's 21,000 seats sold out within two hours of tickets going on sale in March, and the hype has been building ever since.
