Tonight I'm joining forces with longtime friend Josh Hakala, editor of TheCup.us, to help bring you live coverage of the first round of this year's U.S. Open Cup.

It's the 100th edition of this country's oldest soccer competition, and there are quite a few teams involved. I'll be paying particular attention to the game between Reading United, the Union's PDL affiliate, and FC Lehigh Valley United Sonic of the NPSL.

The complete first round schedule is here. You can read up on the teams playing tonight with game-by-game previews here. Results and match reports will be posted here on Josh's site.

So come on in our live chat. There will be games throughout the night and from coast to coast. There's also a Twitter hashtag for the event: #usoc100.

Note that all times on the scoreboards in the console are Eastern, not local.

If you're on a mobile device, click here to follow along and post comments.
