Lincoln Financial Field to host AS Roma vs. Inter Milan in Guinness International Champions Cup

After weeks of speculation, it was finally confirmed Thursday that Philadelphia will be one of the host venues for this summer's Guinness International Champions Cup series of friendlies.

Philadelphia will be one of the host venues for this summer's Guinness International Champions Cup series of friendlies.

Italian giants AS Roma and Inter Milan will meet at Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday, August 2. The game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, and it will be televised nationally on Fox Sports 2 and ESPN Deportes

Tickets will be on sale to the general public through Ticket Master starting on Wednesday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. There will be some kind of presale starting on March 3 at 1:00 p.m., but the press release announcing the game didn't say who will get access to the presale.

For the second year in a row, the ICC will be constructed as a tournament with two groups of four teams. The two group winners meet in a final at the end.

Group A will have Real Madrid, Manchester United, AS Roma and Inter Milan. Group B will have Manchester City, Liverpool, AC Milan and Olympiakos.
