Games to Watch: U.S. national teams, UEFA Champions League final, MLS

This intentionally does not include the Women's World Cup. You can get everything you need to know about the tournament in our special section. The TV schedule is here.

Also, Games to Watch will be on hiatus during the World Cup. It will return in early July to set the stage for the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the rest sof the summer.

United States at Netherlands

2:30 p.m. Friday (ESPN, UniMás, Univision Deportes)

Jurgen Klinsmann's squad faces a daunting trip to Amsterdam without top striker Jozy Altidore due to a hamstring injury. Expect Aron Johannsson or Juan Agudelo to lead the attack. The Dutch squad features familiar names in Manchester United's Robin van Persie and Daley Blind.

New York Red Bulls at Houston Dynamo

9:00 p.m. Friday (UniMás)

After blowing a lead late in Seattle last weekend, Sacha Kljestan and the Red Bulls face another tough test in Houston's heat. Key to the game could be the midfield matchup between Kljestan and fellow former U.S. national teamer Ricardo Clark.

Barcelona vs. Juventus

2:00 p.m. Saturday (Fox, Fox Deportes)

Having led Barcelona to this season's La Liga and Copa del Rey titles, Lionel Messi aims for a third trophy in the UEFA Champions League final. It would be his fourth European Cup in the last decade, a remarkable achievement. Juventus is no underdog, though. The Italian giants counter Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez with Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal and the ageless Andrea Pirlo.

United States at Germany

2:45 p.m. Wednesday (Fox Sports 1, UniMás, Univision Deportes)

As if playing the Netherlands wasn't hard enough on its own, the U.S. follows it up with a trip to Cologne to face the reigning World Cup champs. Germany's squad is led by Bayern Munich's Mario Götze and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

United States under-20 men vs TBA

3:00 a.m. Thursday (Fox Sports 1, Telemundo or NBC Universo)

For the first time since 2007, the U.S. Under-20 squad is headed to the knockout round of a world championship. Their opponent in the round of 16 will be determined in part by a match that will have just ended as you read this, a 3-0 loss to Ukraine early Friday morning.

Whether the Americans finish first or second in their group, the kickoff time of their next game won't change. So wake up early - or stay up late - to watch Arsenal's Gedion Zelalem, Fulham's Emerson Hyndman and Downingtown native Zack Steffen lead the next generation of American talent.

Colorado Rapids at Real Salt Lake

5:00 p.m. Sunday (ESPNews, ESPN Deportes)

You might do a double-take when you look at the MLS standings and see perennial power Real Salt Lake mired in next-to-last place in the Western Conference. It's no mirage. Javier Morales, Alvaro Saborio and company need to turn things around fast. A Rocky Mountain Cup showdown with Dillon Powers and bottom-feeding Colorado could be just the tonic to get things going right again.

FC Dallas at San Jose Earthquakes

7:00 p.m. Sunday (Fox Sports 1, Fox Deportes)

Here's another one in the double-take department: Dallas got hammered 4-0 at Kansas City last weekend. Mauro Diaz and company are still comfortably in third place in the West, but San Jose won't be an easy place to regain momentum. Chris Wondolowski's Earthquakes have lost just once all year in the friendly new confines of Avaya Stadium.
