Games to Watch: EPL, La Liga, UEFA Champions League

Stoke City at Manchester City

10:00 a.m. Saturday (Premier League Extra Time, NBCSports.com)

For a while, City appeared to be the favorite to win the Premier League title. They've hit a rough patch in recent weeks, though, and have fallen to third place. Yaya Touré and company need a win to get back on track. It helps to be at home, where City have scored a league-high 42 goals this season. Stoke, led by U.S. national team defender Geoff Cameron, could be in for a long day.

Barcelona at Real Sociedad

1:55 p.m. Saturday (beIN Sport)

La Liga continues to have a three-way tie for first place. Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid all have 60 points each. If Lionel Messi and company need any more incentive to win this game, they need only recall being held to a 1-1 tie at Sociedad in the Copa del Rey earlier this month.

Borussia Dortmund at Zenit St. Petersburg

12:00 p.m. Tuesday (Fox Sports 1)

It's not the same powerhouse that made last year's Champions League final, but Dortmund still has a real star in playmaker Marco Reus. He'll meet his match in Zenit's Axel Witsel. If charismatic manager Jurgen Klopp can get a result in this first leg, Dortmund should be favored to reach the quarterfinals.

Manchester United at Olympiakos

2:30 p.m. Tuesday (Fox Sports 1)

For as much as United has struggled in the Premier League this season, they've put together some impressive performances in the Champions League. Now is the time for stars Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie to show what they're really made of. The Red Devils are a better team than Olympiakos, but the Greek club's raucous fans can test any visitor.

Chelsea at Galatasaray

2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Fox Sports 1)

This will be a special game for Galatasaray forward Didier Drogba, who became an international superstar when he played for Jose Mourinho's Chelsea. The Blues are led by perhaps the hottest player in the Premier League right now, winger Eden Hazard.

Dnipro at Tottenham Hotspur

3:00 p.m. Thursday (Fox Sports 1)

Tottenham suffered a shock upset in the first leg of this UEFA Europa League Round of 32 matchup, losing at Dnipro 1-0 thanks to a late penalty kick. It will be up to Emmanuel Adebayor to turn things around at home and see Spurs through.
