Live coverage of the 2012 Major League Soccer SuperDraft

Greetings from the big show. It may be of diminishing importance for the league, but the Major League Soccer SuperDraft still carries a sense of occasion and spectacle.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Greetings from the big show. It may be of diminishing importance for the league, but the Major League Soccer SuperDraft still carries a sense of occasion and spectacle.

It also doesn't hurt that MLS gets two hours of TV time on ESPN2 in the middle of January.

What matters most today, though, is the players who will end up on the Union roster. Philadelphia has three picks from the two-round draft: the 13th pick in the first round and the 13th and 16th picks in the second round.

Click here to read the draft preview story I wrote for the Inquirer, and here to read my blog post about local college prospects.

I'll be chatting live from the draft hall starting just before things kick off at noon Eastern Time.

Prior to that, Kerith Gabriel of the Daily News will take your questions about the SuperDraft starting  at 11 a.m. Eastern.

Click here to read Kerith's draft preview and here to read his profile of Delaware forward Evans Frimpong, who is the top prospect from Philadelphia-area schools.

Whether you are in Philadelphia or beyond, we've got plenty to talk about today. So come on by.
