WWE NXT results and observations (2/15/17): U.K. invasion

Outside of a historic title match, it was a rather eventful installment of NXT television this week.

The biggest story coming out of the program was Tyler Bate's first successful defense of his WWE United Kingdom championship, which came after a very entertaining match against Trent Seven.

There were other matches on the show, but they weren't very memorable.

In the women's division, NXT general manager William Regal announced that Peyton Royce, Liv Morgan and Ember Moon would face each other in a triple threat match next week to determine a new No. 1 contender for Asuka's NXT Women's championship.

In the tag team division, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano told the Authors of Pain that they were going to invoke their NXT Tag Team title rematch clause in two weeks.

While #DIY and the Authors were hashing out their differences in a verbal manner, The Revival showed up and physically hashing out their differences with #DIY in by way of an ambush.

That prompted the Authors to go after The Revival again, but the former two-time NXT Tag Team champs managed to escape their clutches yet again.

Here are the full match results:

- Authors of Pain def. Gariston Spears & Lance Anoa'i

- Billie Kay & Peyton Royce def. Liv Morgan & Ember Moon

- WWE United Kingdom championship – Tyler Bate def. Trent Seven
