WWE Hell in a Cell 2016: Match-by-match predictions for the show

WWE is clearly a company that believes in quantity over quality, as it will present not one, not two, but three Hell in a Cell matches at the annual pay-per-view that carries the match's namesake.

Although all three should be entertaining in their own right, only one of them (Sasha Banks versus Charlotte) is a feud worthy of taking place inside WWE's most dangerous structure and no one outside the company is even sure if it will close the show.

Banks and Charlotte may not close the show, but since WWE is touting Hell in a Cell as a triple main event, it will always be able to say that their match was indeed the main event.

With that said, we will start there for my Hell in a Cell predictions, which emanate from the TD Garden in Boston.

WWE Raw Women's championship (Hell in a Cell) – Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte

After months of matches and title changes, it all seemingly comes down to this for Banks and Charlotte, who will make history as the first two women to take part in a Hell in a Cell match.

I'm looking forward to this match not just for the historic circumstances surrounding it, but I'm also curious to see how it plays out. WWE has put so much hype behind this match that it featured Banks and Charlotte on the promotional materials for the event.

Although that puts them in the limelight where they belong, it also puts a lot of pressure on the both of them to put on a match worthy of being inside Hell in a Cell and potentially closing the show.

I'm rooting for both of them to do well, as it could help propel the women in WWE even further.

As far as a winner, I'm going with Banks. Charlotte has her run of 12 consecutive victories on pay-per-view, but I don't see a reason to end Banks' title reign so soon. At least at SummerSlam, she was banged and was planning to take time off to heal.

This time around, I don't see a logical reason to play hot potato with the title again.

Prediction: Banks RETAINS the Raw Women's title

WWE Universal championship (Hell in a Cell) – Kevin Owens (c) vs. Seth Rollins

On the surface, a Hell in a Cell match between Owens and Rollins for a world championship sounds amazing.

It sounds like something that is worth way more than the $9.99 per month I'm paying for my WWE Network subscription.

However, if you have been watching WWE television for the past month or so, this does not feel special at all, especially considering its going to take place inside the Hell in a Cell.

The match should be great, but the feud heading in has been lackluster, which is a big part of what makes Hell in a Cell such a marquee match.

With all of that said, I'm going with Owens to find a way to retain his title.

Prediction: Owens RETAINS the Universal title

WWE United States championship (Hell in a Cell) – Roman Reigns (c) vs. Rusev

This rivalry has gone on for so long that I guess the only thing left to do is to put them inside Hell in a Cell.

I have written enough about this feud over the past three months so I'm done writing about it. Reigns will win.

Prediction: Reigns RETAINS the United States title

WWE Cruiserweight championship – T.J. Perkins (c) vs. Brian Kendrick

A feud that took a major step back this week was the one between Perkins and Kendrick.

Fortunately, that won't stop them from putting on what is hopefully an amazing match.

Like the other title matches, I don't see a reason to end Perkins' title reign so soon, so I'm going with him to retain.

Prediction: Perkins RETAINS the Cruiserweight title

WWE Raw Tag Team championship – The New Day (c) vs. Cesaro & Sheamus

Since The New Day are seemingly on their way to breaking Demolition's record for the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history, I'm going with the trio to retain.

Expect bickering between Sheamus and Cesaro to cost them the match.

Prediction: The New Day RETAINS the Raw Tag Team titles

Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson

Despite all of the talent involved, I couldn't care less about this feud.

Since Gallows and Anderson need the win, and Amore and Big Cass almost never win big matches, I'm going with the good brothers.

Prediction: Gallows & Anderson def. Amore & Big Cass

Bayley vs. Dana Brooke

The last couple of weeks have not been stellar for these two.

I'm picking Bayley to win, as she needs it more at this juncture.

Prediction: Bayley def. Brooke

Kickoff match: Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado & Sin Cara vs. Tony Nese, Drew Gulak & Ariya Daivari

This match should be a lot of fun to watch. I'm going with the good guys.

Prediction: Alexander, Dorado & Sin Cara def. Nese, Gulak & Daivari
