WWE 2K14 unveils 'The Streak' mode for the Undertaker

WWE 2K14 is already shaping up to be an epic entry into the long standing wrestling series with the best roster in the series' history and the "30 Years of WrestleMania" mode.

Well 2K Games has stacked the deck even more for this year's installment in the form of "The Streak" mode.

As you would guess, this mode has everything to do with the Undertaker's incredible undefeated streak at WrestleMania as he is 21-0 at the Super Bowl of wrestling.

In the game mode you have two different options. You can play as the Undertaker and defend the streak or you could go up against the phenom and try to end the streak.

Defending the streak is pretty simple. For those who are familiar with the series going back to its Smackdown! days, it's basically a slobber knocker match, which is an endless gauntlet of wrestlers that you have to beat one by one. It's essentially an endurance match.

The game keeps track of your progress, rates your performance and posts it on the weekly leaderboards so you can see how you stack up against other gamers.

Beating the streak, however, seems like the option that will have gamers buzzing the most.

When attempting to beat the streak, you take part in what is essentially boss battle. Instead of facing just plain old Undertaker, you face a souped up version of him that is very difficult to defeat.

Just like real life, it will take an army to defeat the Undertaker at WrestleMania. You won't be able to go through the normal paces in this match.

Since he is the Undertaker, he has his share of tricks up his sleeve, including turning the lights out and popping up behind you. He can also play possum and either grab you for a choke slam or lock you in his Hell's gate submission move.

All of this makes actually the Undertaker a real achievement as oppose to a mere formality.
