Ring of Honor announces six matches for War of the Worlds: Night One

Ring of Honor has announced six matches for the first night of its joint shows with New Japan Pro Wrestling in Philadelphia titled "War of the Worlds: Night One," which will emanate from the 2300 Arena on Tuesday, May 12.

The biggest match signed is the former Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions reDragon going up against former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanashi and wrestling legend Jushin "Thunder" Liger.

A match of almost equal importance will be The Addiction (current Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions) going up against The Kingdom (current IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions) and The Young Bucks (former ROH tag champions and former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight tag champions) in a triple threat match.

Also on the card will be Michael Elgin versus Tetsuya Naito, Ring of Honor World Television Champion Jay Lethal versus Watanabe, Roderick Strong versus Kushida and Delirious versus Gedo in a battle of the bookers of Ring of Honor and New Japan.

Bell time for night one of War of the Worlds is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
