Ring of Honor announces debut on pay-per-view

For the first time in its 12-year history, Ring of Honor will air an event live on pay-per-view, the promotion announced Thursday.

On Sunday, June 22, Ring of Honor will deliver Best in the World 2014 from the Nashville Fairgrounds in Nashville, Tenn. and the event will air liver on all "major cable or satellite providers."

The event will cost $24.95 and will be available in high definition. The wrestlers that are currently scheduled to appear on the show include ROH World Champion Adam Cole, Matt Hardy, Kevin Steen, the Briscoe Brothers, Jay Lethal and Michael Elgin.

"We are thrilled to announce that ROH is now available live on pay-per-view via cable and satellite," said ROH Chief Operating Officer Joe Koff. "Fans hungry for the best wrestling in the world will now have access to their favorite brand of wrestling from the comfort of their couch in stunning high definition, which is something our customers have been demanding for some time. We're happy to deliver on that starting this June with Best in the World."

The announcement is a big step in the right direction for Ring of Honor after a failed attempt of having its marquee events air live on Internet pay-per-view. The experiment failed due to numerous technical difficulties and glitches.
