Lita to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

Former WWE Women's Champion Lita is the newest member of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2014, the company announced Monday during Raw.

Lita made a name for herself with her unique athletic ability and propensity to take risk few women had attempted before her.

Lita made her WWE debut in 2000 alongside Essa Rios, but shot up in popularity when she aligned herself with the Hardy Boys to form Team Xtreme.

Although Lita won the WWE Women's title on four occasions, her professional life took a back seat to a real-life love triangle that surfaced in 2005. The issue between her, Matt Hardy and fellow WWE Hall of Famer Edge was played in front of worldwide audiences and was a highpoint in her notoriety.

But none of that could take away the fact that Lita was one of the best female wrestlers of her generation and will join a hall of fame class that includes the Ultimate Warrior and Jake "The Snake" Roberts.
