We have another update on the status of Hulk Hogan and it comes from a very close source.

WWE Hall of Famer “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart said during an interview with the Baltimore Sun [h/t to WrestleZone.com for the find] that his close and personal friend Hogan will be at WrestleMania XXX.

Hart was taking part in the interview to promote WWE latest DVD “History of WWE: 50 Years of Sports Entertainment,” which comes out Nov. 19.

“Hogan knew I was doing this press tour with WWE promoting the DVD,” Hart said during the interview. “He told me to say exactly this: Hulk Hogan will be at WrestleMania if he has to buy a ticket and sit at ringside.”

If Hogan is at WrestleMania in April, it will be almost a given he will be doing much more than sitting at ringside with the rest of us common folk. You know, people who haven’t headlined multiple WrestleManias.

Hart believes this, too and said that Hogan can even get back into the ring and work one more good match.

“I think he can step into the ring one more time,” he said. “We have a school in Florida, and he stepped into the ring there and did some stuff, and he looked great. As his friend, I’d be the first one to say, ‘Listen Hulk, do us a favor, just go out to the ring to Real American, say OK Brother, rip the shirt, do the pose, sign a bunch of autographs and people will still be just as happy,’ … but he does have a couple of good matches left in him, he really does. I’ve got my fingers crossed we see something at WrestleMania.”

According to Hart, there’s only one opponent for Hogan at this milestone WrestleMania: John Cena.

“At Hogan’s Beach a couple of months ago we had a Q&A, and I asked the audience, who would everyone like to see Hogan face in WWE, and the answer overwhelmingly was John Cena. I think that would be a great match. John Cena is so classy, this kid is so good. I would like to manage him, but he doesn’t need a manager. He reminds me so much of Hulk in a lot of different ways.”

Hogan has reportedly already verbally agreed to rejoin WWE in some capacity leading into WrestleMania. Philly.com contacted a source within WWE to confirm the report, but the source said the report was merely rumor.
