Dish Network will not carry WWE WrestleMania

Dish Network will not carry WrestleMania XXX on pay-per-view, the company announced via a statement Thursday.

PWInsider.com received a statement confirming Dish Network's decision:

"Please note that WWE is not willing to adjust PPV costs to satellite/cable companies, which is unfair to their customers. DISH needs to re-focus efforts to support partners that better serve DISH customers and other satellite/cable companies, including DirecTV, have also expressed they may no longer provide WWE PPV events in the future."

WrestleMania will be the second WWE pay-per-view Dish Network decided not to carry. It also opted out of carrying Elimination Chamber in February.

Dish Network's decision to not carry the shows comes on the heels of the launch of the WWE Network, which gives subscribers access to live webcasts of the pay-per-views as apart of their subscription. A subscription cost a mere $9.99 per month with a six-month subscription.

Ordering a pay-per-view with a traditional satellite or cable provider could cost more than $50.
