Alberto El Patron headed to Ring of Honor in 2015

Former WWE superstar Alberto El Patron is headed to Ring of Honor, the promotion announced Thursday via a video on its YouTube channel.

The WWE release the former champion in August after getting into a confrontation with a company employee.

"Ring of Honor has been doing fantastic things," El Patron said in a press release. "There's a lot of excitement surrounding this company and I look forward to competing against the best of the best in ROH in 2015."

He is slated to begin his tenure with Ring of Honor in 2015.
