Marty Hamann was only the second exec chef that the Four Seasons Philadelphia ever had, after Jean-Marie Lacroix.

When Hamann announced his resignation in fall 2008 to go to the Union League, foodies grumbled that they'd be shut out of his cooking because the Union League is private.

Life went on, and the Fountain and Swann are as good as ever under chef Rafael Gonzalez and his team.

The University City District will expand its summer Dining Days promotion to two weeks -- July 15-29.

This time, a record 29 restaurants are on board to provide three-course dinners.

New are marked with an asterisk.

Union Trust and the Prime Rib have extended "Steak Month," the $50 three-course special that ran all March.

They'll continue, indefinitely, on Sunday nights.
