A sushi bar without the bar?
You use touch screens to order your food — including maki, sashimi, rice bowls, and cooked dishes/bento boxes such as terayaki — at the new Zushi, which set up this week at 100 N. 18th St., next to the Au Bon Pain in Two Logan Square (18th and Arch Streets).
Owners Tony Rim (1225 Raw, The Foodery) and Sam Yoon (South Street’s now-closed Kidari Sushi Yatai) have been studying the back-of-the-house operations at other fast-casual shops, including Wawa and Honeygrow. It took a couple of years, but they said they figured out a way to keep things rolling — as it were.
It’s aimed at the lunch crowd with about 20 seats, though the bulk of the business is takeout.
Menu also includes the Zushi — a bowl of butter-toasted sushi rice, sashimi, avocado, soyu jalapeno, sprouted daikon radish seeds, caviar and red tobiko, and garlic sauce.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays.
