Vesper comes back in a more casual setting
It will become more sports-fan-oriented with an extended main bar, plenty of TVs, and a DJ booth.
Vesper (223 S. Sydenham St.) — the onetime Mad Men-era private club that was revived two years ago as a retro-chic supper club — has been closed for a week as owners tweak the concept.
It will become more sports-fan-oriented with an extended main bar, plenty of TVs, and a DJ booth, effectively adding it to the bar list within the immediate 15th and Locust area (e.g. Fado, Cinder, Misconduct Tavern, Locust Rendezvous, Good Dog, McGlinchey's, Jose Pistola's).
The speakeasy-like bar in the cellar will remain.
Reopening will be Saturday, Aug. 26, keyed to the Mayweather-McGregor fight.
