Suburban Brewing Co. – featuring beer and Pennsylvania Dutch-inspired snacks — is targeting a mid-February opening at 2536 Conestoga Ave., just off Route 322 in Honey Brook, Chester County.

It's a rural play from chef/owner Eric Yost of Exton's Suburban Restaurant & Beer Garden and brewer/partner Corey Ross, owner of Fancy Camper in Malvern.

And speaking of play, the spot has an area with vintage and new arcade games such as Pac-Man, pinball, shuffle alley bowling, and a pool table.

Suburban Brewing will use a small-batch, all-grain, one-barrel system to feature eight to 12 beers on rotation, plus Pennsylvania spirits and wine. The opening menu will include locally made jerky, potato chips, and Bavarian pretzels. A trailer eventually will be set up to serve some of Suburban's signature dishes like mac and cheese, pasta, and BBQ.

Yost and helpers built the brewery from scratch, sourcing reclaimed and recycled materials for the bar, made of 100-year-old barn wood. The siding on bar is old barn tin, and the walls are covered with old shipping pallets. Recycled electrical spools are the tables.

Hours will be 4 p.m. to midnight Tuesday to Friday, noon to midnight Saturday, and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.
