Cold, hard reality in club world: The Clubhouse — whose draws included an ice bar that allowed drinking in an oversize freezer — has shut down at 111 S. 17th St., in the sprawling subterranean space beneath Davio's.

Opening Sept. 6 is Stats on 17th, a sports bar and nightclub operated by Justin Veasey, 25, a South Philadelphian who started in the biz at age 16 and counts Chickie's & Pete's, Ventura's Greenhouse, and most recently Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse in his experience.

He's backed by Danny Govberg, who was involved in previous incarnation G Lounge.

The lineup at Stats on 17th: 20 HD televisions, two main bars, lounge with bottle service, and a bar menu including wings, sandwiches, salads, pizza, and flatbreads.

During the week and on weekend days, it will be open for games. Entertainment and DJs will be brought in Friday and Saturday nights.

Through his rep, Veasey says Stats on 17th's approach will be a mix of Ladder 15 and Vesper.
