With the most restaurants ever, Center City District Restaurant Week will come back January 17-22 & Jan. 24-29, and there are some big-ticket newcomers among the roster of 119 restaurants offering $35 three-course dinners (with some offering three-course lunches for 20 bucks):

Butcher & Singer, Buddakan, Bella Cena, Byblos, Cafe Nola, The Capital Grille, M Restaurant at the Morris House Hotel, Miga, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Novita, Pub & Kitchen, Q BBQ & Tequila, R2L (opening Jan. 21), Square 1682, and Terra. And Rouge is returning after an absence.

The CCD requires each establishment’s three-course menu to have a check value of $55 or more, and some restos will add a fourth course for $35. For the three-course lunch portion of the promotion, the value point is $25 to $30.

There will be parking discounts, too.

Here's the list.

well terry, good job on the pastas, bad job on the burger. you're about a half step from being a great bar and fairmount could certainly use one. your prices are a little high. how about a bbq pork sandwich for $8 instead of a $16 platter? you'd have my business a lot more often.

Yes, Jelly, she knows. Because, she is Terry McNamally (sp) of the Grill. Marie Antoinette herself. which explains why she writes "I am doing it in Fairmount" (I assume she means RW not something naughtier). I'd wager you left hungry because you didn't order enough, and I've never had a baguette served with the 100 orders of mussels i've eaten there over the years. huge slab of foccacia? sure. baguette, non. Parking is free in the evening, but nearly impossible to find, so many visitors to the area just resort to the parking lot across the street which is, as Terry wrote, cheap.

Cool! Friday Happy Hour! (not Sat or Sun) As to my gender, there was mention of me dressing up as Marie Antoinette, and eventhough I do tend to look like a big drag queen, I am female. :)
