For nearly three years, Main Liners have known the sushi work of Jason Kim from his Ardmore spot, Jason's Toridasu, which also supplies the nearby Japanese market Maido.

In mid-August, he went into Manayunk with a noodle concept called @Ramen, an edgy-looking ramen spot at 4357 Main St., and last week he added an izakaya (bar) called Momokawa just up the block at 4371 Main St.

Momokawa, a 15-seater now in a soft-opening phase and open after 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday, is awaiting a liquor license. Its menu for now includes rolls and some kitchen dishes.

But wait. There's more.

Kim, 38, a Central High grad, is planning a Jason's Toridasu branch at Presidential City apartments (3900 City Ave., near I-76) — due to pen soon — and he says he is in talks to open an @Ramen next to the Panera Bread location on City Avenue at Monument Road.

But first, he plans to open an @Ramen at 1608 Sansom St. near Rittenhouse Square, which was Giwa's location before it moved to snazzier quarters at 1722 Sansom. That location should be open around New Year's, Kim said.
