Inchin’s Bamboo Garden — whose concept is moderate-priced Chinese-Indian fusion cuisine — has an opening on the way at 1726 Chestnut St. near Rittenhouse Square.
A recent liquor-license posting identifies the Alpharetta, Ga.-based company as the new tenant of the former West Coast Optical shop, which moved to a new storefront nearby. The storefront is two doors from Di Bruno’s, down the block from Gran Caffe L’Aquila, and across the street from Just Salad and a long-delayed Buena Onda taqueria.
Inchin’s, now in a dozen states, has been on a franchising uptick lately, and is preparing for a New York City debut.
The closest location to Philly is South Plainfield, N.J.
A timetable for opening is not yet known, but a typical license transfer and build-out from a non-restaurant space take at least four months.
