Wrap Shack raising the bar

The 18th Street sandwichery is getting a liquor license.

Wrap Shack raising the bar

That splash of blaze orange on the front of the Wrap Shack on the Square (120 S. 18th St.) means just one thing:

A liquor license is on the way.

Owner Scott Hockfield told me that he expects the license in about four weeks. It will allow him to broaden the menu (to "bread products," as in regulation sandwiches) and attract a sports-on-TV-loving crowd.

Bar list will include beers, a few wines and mixed drinks, including alcohol-fortified smoothies.

Menu is still in development.
