Worst commercial during Phillies games?

POSTED: Saturday, August 28, 2010, 1:10 PM

Which is the worst Phillies commercial?
The one with the female office worker who does a dance number with the mustachioed guy
The "3 a.m. coffee break" series of the couple in bed watching a late-night TV show in which workers in a TV studio drink coffee
The one where the two imbecilic office workers toss a ball back and forth while the office-supply delivery guy brings in the stuff
The one with the barber with the Eastern European accent

We're headed into the homestretch of the baseball season.

Combine that with the extra-inning games of late, and Phillies fans have been subjected to more than their share of repetitive commercials from a certain office-supply house (which will remain nameless because, well, why give it any publicity?).

Time for an Philly Insider poll.

What about the annoying in-game "Safe with New York Life" promo that always gets in the way of, you know, real announcing?

Toeman, the first rule of comedy and advertising is that monkeys are always funny.

Mike I-PETA got involved. I guess they think they are still relevant. The invisible monkey is a good comeback to those jerks. IMHO of course.

Disagree, of all of the awful commercials during the game WB Mason's actually have good production value and are fun. How about the god awful Main Line BMW commercial that looks like it wasn't even rendered correctly for broadcast AT ALL let alone HD TV. Or any of the other random local commercials who clearly blew their entire advertising budget on a stupid TV commercial media buy only to have nothing left to actually produce a good commercial. (Looking at you Steak Em Up )

Chris Wheeler might be even more hated that George W. Bush in Philly.

Yes the invisible monkey version of that ad was a big "F U" to PETA after they complained about the original version of the ad with a real monkey. Pretty stupid by PETA.

I enjoy the WB Mason ads actually. Agreed they have high production values. On the other hand, I would love to never see/hear another Steak-Em-Up commmercial again. Terribly annoying.

Also any commercial with Mike Richards as the spokesperson. Dude is a great hockey player but he's hella boring. I suggest Hartnell or Car-bombs due to their more energetic personalities. Cote even

"Safe With New York Life",the worst by far...and Wheeler is okay,as are Larry,Sarge and Frantzke...though Scott Graham was the best of the bunch...somebody PLEASE tell McCarthy to shut-up,at least once in awhile...
