Nick Macri of Southwark turned up the heat at Union Transfer to win Hop Chef with Hennepin-cured coppa, pickled chilies, "ballpark" nuts, grains of Paradise bread crumbs, orange and coriander sauce. Macri will represent Philly in August in the main Hop Chef competition in Cooperstown, N.Y.

Marcie Turney of Barbuzzo, Lolita, etc. captured the top prize at Eat Along the Street, a benefit for a Thai orphanage and Philly's Children's Village, at Vie.
