Pizzeria Vetri joining Eagles lineup at Linc

The big news out of Eagles games at Lincoln Financial Field this season involves Marc Vetri and his crew.

The chef is setting up brick-oven pizzas - as in, the pies sold at his enormously popular Pizzeria Vetri - in the club level at the Linc.

Aramark is expected to announce Tuesday that it will offer Vetri's signature "al taglio" pizzas - margherita (fresh mozzarella, reggiano parm, basil) and salsiccia (sweet fennel sausage) - as well as Pizzeria Vetri's signature snack, the rotolo. This creation is pizza dough rolled around ricotta cheese, tomato and spicy sopressata, a variation of what The Inquirer's Craig LaBan named "morsel of the year" in 2013.

Vetri worked with Aramark at the stadium last year.

Also back for seconds in the club level is chef Peter McAndrews of Paesano's, selling his Paesano and Chicken Diavlo sandwiches. The Paesano has beef brisket, horseradish mayo, roasted tomatoes, long hot puree, sharp provolone and fried egg. The Chicken Diavlo has spicy chicken breast with salami, roasted tomatoes, broccoli rabe, herb cheddar spread and sharp provolone.

On HeadHouse Plaza, Brent Celek's food truck, Prime Stache, and the Gozen Yogurt trucks will be back, along with new trucks from Dunkin' Donuts and Rita's Water Ice.

Aramark also is opening a stand called Quick & Carmichael BBQ after alumni Mike Quick and Harold Carmichael.

The two wideouts have sandwiches named in their honor: The Quick (black cherry smoked pulled pork with house made slaw on a potato roll) and The Carmichael (maple sugar smoked pulled chicken with house made slaw on a potato roll). The tastes can be combined as The Quick & Carmichael (black cherry smoked pulled pork, maple sugar smoked pulled chicken, topped with house made slaw, on a potato roll).

Each sandwich will be available with choice of Kansas City Style Barbecue Sauce or Carolina Vinegar Barbecue Sauce.
