Update: Chinatown Square, the food hall coming to Race St.

Six of the 13 tenants - including cuisines from Cambodia, Japan, and Korea - are now known.

Construction is finally moving forward again at Chinatown Square, the food hall taking over from the longtime Shanghai Bazaar at 1016 Race St. in Chinatown.

Operators now say 13 food companies are signed on as tenants for the two-story building, whose target opening is now November.

Previously announced were The Halal Guys (a franchised street-fooder that recently opened a branch in King of Prussia), I CE NY (a Thai rolled ice cream shop), and Philly Poke (a specialist in the raw-fish dish called poke).
